I don't think i'm being biased here, despite being a Hajduk fan. After 0:0 at Riazor where Hajduk kept a clean sheet and showed a good performance they have every right to hope for a good result at Poljud stadium. Indeed, they are not doing great lately (away defeats from Zagreb and Rijeka) but i'm optimistic as Deportivo, despite having players like Juan Carlos Valeron (a bit old though), Guardado (young Mexico NT player) and Riki (ex-Real Madrid player) they don't look too convincing before this match.
First, their coach Lotina complained about the turf in Split saying that it is not regular and second - he told that he wont use 4 players in this match (didn't say which one) as they have important match vs. Real Madrid in 4 days. Considerng these facts i think 1X double chance bet has potential as even 1:1 suits Deportivo and bet will still be won. Rubil (cards) and Jertec (injury) are out for Hajduk while Deportivo will have to do without Pablo and Lafita.
Coach Vučević (Hajduk) announced they won't rush, playing patient, smart football and they even practiced penalty kicks in a case of 0:0 FT score. I assume they will try to slow down the game trying to do something from free kicks and corners. They must keep an eye on Valeron and counterattacks, and hopefully Kalinić and Ibričić will get their chance to make history at Poljud tonight. As i said before, i'm not impressed much by Deportivo, they are not as good as they were few years ago when they played in CL semi-finals, and after "only" 1:0 and 2:1 over Israeli Ihoud Bnei Sakhin in Intertoto CUP i think Hajduk wil manage to stay undefeated again.

After beating Marsaxxlok twice in UEFA Cup (4:0, 4:0) Slaven played well in Greece despite losing 1:0. They played mostly defensive which is probably logical for the 1st away game but now coach Petković announced we'll see pressure from the first minute. That's something common for Slaven in CRO league as they play very good at home - in fact they haven't lost a single home game in championship last season (14-3-0 40:10) and IMO they are just behind Dinamo in terms of quality, organisation, and team spirit. They have potential to advance to the next round and atmosphere in club is very good. Indeed, they lost to Hajduk in last round having 1:0 lead and controling the game, but believe me, referee had an impact on that game.
Aris is a solid team from Greece. They had 6-3-9 away record last season and their cahmpionship hasn't yet started which can be good news for Slaven that is in competitive form after 5 rounds in Croatia holding 2nd place at the moment. Petar Bošnjak and Kokalović are out for Slaven but i do not consider that as some major blow and they can be replaced. Battion and Lembo will be missed at Aris on the other hand. Honestly i don't remember when was the last time Slaven didn't score in front of home crowd and i expect something like 2:1, or hopefully 3:1 here.

Well why not! Both teams without a single point after first to rounds and Rijeka heaven't even scored and lost in a friendly few days ago to 2nd league Istra 2:1. At their 6 head to head matches Rijeka won twice in Zaprešić and i simply don't trust them this season. They changed their team a lot and don't look like an organised group on a pitch. Inter is not some mega force but surely capable to do the damage with Dodik in attack.

Well odds on simple home win are about 2.10 so i consider this as a good value. Varteks dominated against Zagreb (2:1) and managed to stay undefeated away to Hajduk (1:1) and i think this team has potential to be in the upper part of the table and possible UEFA Cup competition. Besek really did a great job with this team and despite Slaven was a beeter side in their last few meetings i think this will change today. Slaven is not a real power in away games, we saw that last season and knowing they have and UEFA Cup match in just 4 days away to Aris from Greece i think they may not be 100% in this game. Still i think we'll see an open game and something like 2:1 at the end.

Zagreb didn't impeess me in first two rounds. They looked clueless in Varaždin (lost 2:1) and despite they won away to Rijeka i don't think they are a good material to stop Hajduk. You have to be aware that this game will be played on Maksimir (Dinamo stadium) and there will be no White Angels (Zagreb supporters) that are boycoting this match. Also, Zagreb changed their team a lot, and without Lovrek, Ibričić and coach Blažević i expect them to be average this season and finish on 6th-8th place. Hajduk struggled with Zadar (1:0) and Varteks (1:1) but showed a different face from the last season. They play fast, good football with many goal chances. I simply can't see them geting defeated to Zagreb in Maksimir. GL

Šibenik surprised twice this season - first they won away to Inter and than lost to Sesvete at home. They are well known for their home ground where they collect most of their points while in away games we rarely see them as a big threat. Head to head looks promising for Cibalia as Šibenik won only once away in last 15 years! Indeed, Cibalia has problems with scoreing ind relies mostly on Malčić in attack that's why i see a minimum win for them tonight - something like 1:0 or 2:0 at the end.

Borislav Lukić, Jovan Simić, Ranko Galešić, Nedeljko Joksimović and Ognjen Radulović are out for Modriča (didn't get the visa).
I expect trashing here. Modriča coach said that they didn't get the tape od Aalborg games and know nothing about them.
BIH champion managed to win twice over Dinamo Tirana but i'm sure this will be the end of the road for them.
